Christ is Risen!

Heartfelt congratulations on the radiant feast of the Resurrection of the Lord!

At the Paschal service, these words of the 117th (118th) psalm are repeated many times: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it!” God created this day not in the sense that He created everything in the beginning, but in the sense that His death and resurrection changed the reality of our existence. You can say that the Lord Jesus Christ, through His resurrection, altered everything in such a way that it is as if He recreated the world from scratch. Where before things were hopeless and each person was doomed to die, now there is hope that our physical death is only a temporary condition and that we, if we are faithful followers of Christ, will also become partakers of His resurrection!

Today, on this wonderful day of the Resurrection of Christ the Saviour, let’s put aside our old, sinful passions and begin a new, holy life so as to not lose the unending joy of the future life!
